WeDo Technologies and Sonaecom
Implementation of the backend system for IMG softphone that would support TAG by Optimus.
Development of the design, proof of concept, integration and optimization phases of Sonaecom and WeDo work to ensure that the demanding response time and uptime requirements were met. The solution included an SIP application server (Oracle Converged Communications
Server) and a number of SIP applications to orchestrate softphone requests with the operator’s IMG network seamlessly.

Generalitat de Catalunya
In a 6-month project, KnowledgeWorks assisted the Generalitat de Catalunya in creating the technological platform for the community’s virtual Citizen’s Bureau (OVT – Oficina Virtual de Tràmis).
The KnowledgeWorks team assisted the technicians from Generalitat
and from the technological supplier (BEA Systems/Oracle) in the construction and implementation of the enterprise service bus for integration between the multiple services existing in the community.

EMSA – THETIS
KnowledgeWorks implemented the European Community Port State Control solution for EMSA, which supports the daily activity of the 2,100 Maritime Port Inspectors in the 26 Member States.
Having performed the implementation of the THETIS system in a 4-year
contract framework on their own, the activities performed included the support of the production process in AWS infrastructure, which featured the following application stack: Linux, Oracle Weblogic Middleware and Weblogic Integration, and Oracle
Database, deployed in Docker containers.

KnowledgeWorks was responsible for developing a consulting project providing technical advice to decide on the technologies and architecture to be used in their systems, as well as strategic
consulting to support the operator’s management team in reorganizing the IS and software development practices, enabling them to adapt to the new realities of convergent billing in real time and to the multichannel client relationship (Omni channel).

Portuguese Association of Insurers
(APS)
In a project for the Portuguese Association of Insurers, KnowledgeWorks created all the methodology, support materials and scoring rationale required for a solid decision.
It also provided technical and strategic advisory services regarding the choice of proposals for implementing the SegurNet system, as well as a consulting service to study and evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the proposals, which
provided the input for awarding the project. Thorough technical assessment of the candidates and the pilot software, scoring in an objective study each of the assessment vectors.

DGEEC
From the beginning, KnowledgeWorks has been the Trusted Technical Advisor and one of the main developers for the body responsible for the Technological Plan for Education in Portugal, the GEPE/DGEEC.
Currently, KnowledgeWorks continues to provide operational
support for the Education Portal’s systems, providing 2nd-line support, developments on existing solutions, and technical advice.
It was also responsible for installing and managing Middleware Oracle / BEA Systems (Webcenter, Oracle Database, Weblogic,
Service Bus, SOA Suite) and for outlining the development process and operations in the various environments and managing the DGEEC’s development suppliers.

KnowledgeWorks devised, designed and implemented the current billing system for the newspapers of the ControlInveste group, which manages the clients, billing and distribution of the national newspapers, including Diário de Notícias, Jornal de Notícias, Evasões and Jornal do Fundão.
WMS is a flexible, Web-based, line-of-business solution that includes CRM, Supply Management, Billing, Route Management, and Digital Procurement functionalities. It also supports the production of a wide range of decision-supporting reports.
